Since Jill and I pretty much share the same brain, it's only natural we would buy the same thing completely independent of each other - which is the case with this skirt (and her dress).

Somehow I ended up with a season pass to Disneyland after my most recent once yearly trip. I'm just going to chalk it up to the churros? They do me in every time. The crowds we didn't encounter early on a friday morning didn't hurt either...took a midday break to go check out an old childhood haunt, which has significantly less play equipment than I remember but way more grass - perfect for running around in this skirt, which obviously has maximum flounce and twirl potential (skirt prerequisite). Park nostalgia basically required me to wear jellies...I still fondly remember a certain glittery blue pair. Concluded the evening being unable to refuse my Grandma's banana cream pie...a truly appropriate end to my day based on sugary treats.

Pants: F21, Shirt: Threads 4 Thought, Oxfords: F21, Sunnies: Prada

Sometimes, you just gotta go casual. Breezing up the California coast on a clear day with no clouds in sight is one of those times. Sandwiching myself in the front seat between surfboards and coolers (a friendly reminder of the abalone I will be eating soon) and waiting for an overlook to get out of the car and traipse around barefoot was a welcome interjection into my life. This shirt (which I broke my "do not buy in multiple colors" rule for - totally worth it) is the perfect lived in basic and so necessary. Not ashamed to admit that I do laundry more often so that it's always an option. The trip concluded with a trip to an overlook tucked into a tiny cul de sac in Martinez with a perfect view of Mt. Diablo. Well kept secret? I think so.
