The consistently cloudy skies beachside as of late necessitated that we take a "just drive" trip eastward...not quite as east as my fellow crochet laden desert children (ahem, Jill) at Coachella, but getting to wear my new flatform acquisition on the backroads of a tiny airport more than made up for it. These shoes definitely feel like I have two bricks strapped to my feet yet I can be in them all day. And I feel like they would pass the cobblestone test. Score one.

So, I have blue hair.
This Queen Frostine/cotton candy transformation surprised me too - went in to get my hair done and was propositioned by my stylist to be in a Dr. Seuss themed hair show...and thus the blue ombré was born. The blombré. Even though it's temporary and will be gone in a few weeks, I'm digging this blue hue...makes me feel like my little pony/the ocean/a unicorn. That and the amount of compliments I've been getting from older ladies (think your grandma) is off the charts. Who knew? So naturally I threw on my favorite new cowgirl shirt (that I broke my rule for and bought in two colors) and trusty boots and headed up to stop at my favorite balsamic vinegar tasting gallery and to pay Jill a little visit. Ended perfectly with a trip to a randomly yelped hole in the wall thai place where I made a pad thai food baby and headed home.
